Rachael Barkess is professional artist with a primary focus on realism across the mediums of pencil, oil and watercolour. Originally studying for a BA Fine Art she went on to pursue a career in Graphic Design as a Creative Director and illustrator across multimedia, television and print design.
Rachael now focuses full time on painting. After her move to Singapore here she currently resides the main focus of her artistic practice is portraiture. Portrait commissions are available with a lead time of approximately 2 months depending on size and complexity
Whilst the majority of Rachael’s work is sold privately or by commission, she has enjoyed success in several high profile art awards, including:

Rachael also teaches small group children’s art classes to encourage creativity and expression, as well as realist techniques to adults and older children.  A limited number of weekend workshops per year are also offered.
